Playa del Rey, California I have wanted to shoot an engagement session in Playa since moving here last year. So I was super excited when Roxana and Claudiu came for their portrait session.
Roxana and Claudiu just moved from Ireland and I wanted to get a couple of photos of them surrounded by green.
We walked further and found some flowers.
Tree branches drape over this sidewalk creating the feeling of a magical secret garden.
We found an unused lifeguard tower.
Roxana shows off her gorgeous ring.
And Claudiu chases the seagulls.
Thanks for a fun shoot! I can’t wait for your wedding in September!
Adore the black and white: looks like a fairy tale. And her dress is gorgeous.. Thanks Ala! I love the pathway where the black & white was taken – it reminds me of The Walk to Paradise Garden – a photo by photojournalist W. Eugene Smith. Salton Sea, California Michael and I went on a day trip and stopped by Salton Sea. I wish we had more time here – we will definitely be going back. Salton Sea is a former resort area, now abandoned. There are still some people living here, but most of the streets we saw had no houses. A ghost town where the dead fish are the ghosts.
I promised you another Where’s Polka? contest. Here are your 2 photo clues. First person to leave a comment correctly identifying this place wins. Previous winners not eligible. Good luck!!!
New clue:
I have no idea. If no one guesses correctly I’ll post additional clues. If the photos make it seem like I’m in the middle of nowhere, it’s because I am. Catalina Island. 26 miles from the mainland. Not Catalina Island. But you’re in the right state. Oh duh fish gave it away. Salton Sea. I would love to spend a few hours shooting there! Creepy and fascinating at the same time! I’m guessing the Channel Islands. I’m stumped teehee, I was going to say standing on the edge of the dead sea, but I don’t think that is correct. Salton Sea Shore? Salt Point State Park? And the winner is…. Rachael, who guessed first. It’s the Salton Sea. AND she guessed before I put up the third clue. Congrats Rachael! Amanda also got the right answer. YAY! I can now stop hitting refresh :snort: |
