Postcards from Playa: Shipwreck

Playa del Rey, California
The ocean can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. The same waves that lull you to sleep can spit you out with broken ribs and torn sails to your final resting place in the sand. Every so often, I’ll see a new sailboat that suffered the wrath of the ocean. I’m not sure why, but the boat sometimes stays there for months. Perhaps as a reminder to all who dare venture into the deep sea of its power.
