It was pouring when Eugene and I went on our photo adventure so we ducked into the Chicago Cultural Center to dry off.

The Cultural Center is known for its gorgeous Tiffany Dome. Unfortunately, there was an event that afternoon so we couldn’t go into Preston Bradley Hall, but we could take photos from the hallway.

The ceiling is reminiscent of European palaces.

Even the entrance is grand.

I had a great time driving around rural Illinois during my visit last month. I love the blue skies and green grass, but it’s bittersweet seeing farm buildings that are no more. As interesting as I may find these structures, I’m saddened that so many farms are gone.
